This two-day Construction Industry Safety and Health Training is intended for entry level workers in the construction industry and personnel in public works or public/ private sector facilities and maintenance. It emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention. Training is based on various topics in OSHA’s 1926 Construction Industry Standard. Course requirements are set by OSHA’s Directorate of Training and Education (DTE).

Since 1987, The New England Consortium (TNEC), based at UMass Lowell, has delivered worker health and safety training to companies, organizations, and communities throughout New England. TNEC specializes in the small-group method of instruction to provide participatory, interactive, hands-on training in hazardous materials operations, emergency response, disaster preparedness, infectious disease preparedness, construction safety, and a wide range of general workplace health and safety topics.
