How do I get to TNEC's Training Center?

What time does open enrollment training begin?

Unless otherwise indicated, training runs from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

What if there’s inclement weather?

In the event of inclement weather, be sure to check school cancellations on Boston area media. Typically, If UMass Lowell is closed TNEC’s scheduled training will also be cancelled unless students receive an email from TNEC with other information.

TNEC will attempt to notify students of potential cancellation/rescheduling plans via email to the email address that the student was registered with.

The UMass Lowell website and storm page at www.uml.edu/storm are the primary sources for all updates on university operations during closures. Boston TV and radio stations, as well as local and regional news websites, and the University’s weather hotline, 978-934-2121, which provides a short message indicating whether there is a weather-related closing or delay.

In the event of a snow emergency, the University may invoke a CAMPUS PARKING BAN to allow for storm recovery and plowing of university lots and walkways for student and staff safety. TNEC will attempt to notify students via email of alternative parking areas.

Arrangements will be made to reschedule/make up training day(s) when possible, the makeup training days will likely occur on the following business day(s).

Is there a lunch break?

Yes. Classes break for lunch at approximately 11:30 am and the lunch break lasts approximately 30 minutes. Students are asked to bring their own brown-bag lunch and snacks to the training. There are no restaurants or fast-food establishments in the immediate area. Self-serve snack machines are available on the first floor.

A refrigerator and microwave are available at the Training Center for student use. TNEC provides free coffee and water throughout the day in its Training Center.

When do I receive my training certificate?

Certificates are issued on the final day of training after all requirements have been successfully completed.

What if I misplace my certificate? How do I get a copy?

If you’ve misplaced your certificate, log in to https://tnec.hazready.com using the email you registered for training with to print a copy of your certificate. Once you log-in, click on “Student” and “My Courses” and you should be able to print your certificate.
